For Schools
Exp studio offers training and support to help school teachers with design thinking and innovation knowledge to enrich classroom learning and grow a culture of innovation.
What is Design Thinking?
Design Thinking is a Human-Centred design methodology that helps identify and understand problems, generate ideas, and test solutions.
It has become increasingly popular over the last decade, and is used by many public and private businesses, and organisations. Outside of the workplace, Design Thinking can be applied in the community and to every-day scenarios.
Whilst Design Thinking is accepted as part of the education curriculum, many students have a relatively low awareness of what it is and how it can be applied to solve problems and generate ideas.
In the classroom, design thinking helps students think about real-world problems, and develop empathy, collaboration, and other life skills.
Courses for Teachers
We run short online courses for school teachers as an introduction or a refresher to teach and facilitate Design Thinking in the classroom. View the course
Student Workshops
We are available to conduct online or in-person workshops with students to teach them the core Design Thinking skills.
Design Thinking and Innovation Challenge Facilitation
Design Thinking challenges can be a fun and rewarding way for students to collaborate and solve problems for their school, community, region, nation, or for the world. We are available to work with schools to help design and facilitate competitions within a school, or to organise inter-school Design Thinking and Innovation challenges.
